Quotes

As Ben in BBC mini series dis-connected

(on his earliest memory from the theathre) My earliest memory from the theatre was going to see a pantomime in Bath and Aladdin said something like: 'Oh, what's in that cave?' or something and: 'I'm a bit scared. I don't want to go in.' And the audience was really quiet. And a little voice that belonged to a four year old went: 'I'll go in there!' And everyone turned round to the little voice and my parents suddenly looked down to see me, jumping up and down: 'I'll go in there!' And I shouted out loud at a pantomime. And I'd honestly been that sort of engrossed in the performance in the world that they'd created that I felt the need to rescue Aladdin from his peril and help him out by going in the dark cave.

(on performing on stage) The idea of the audience and the cast sort of giving that energy back and forth makes it a very interactive experience because you can't really do that when you're watching something on screen because the performance's already been given, the energy levels have been set and it won't alter with regards to how the audience feels about it. When you're here, the atmosphere that theatre creates is all around you it's just something... magical.

( a key scene in Merlin season 2) The most important scene for Arthur in this series is a brief encounter that involves his mother, who's dead. I have a very strong relationship with my mother, she's been both my parents at once for years, and she's been an inspiration. (OK maganize, Sept 15, 2009)

(on filming in France for Merlin) The longest we've done in France is six weeks, and I'll admit the novelty wears off after a while. I just want to go home and I personally miss vegetables and milk, as they don't seem to have them in France, it's all meat, wine, cheese and bread. I drink a lot of milk, and they don't do decent milk in France, it's all powdered rubbish. Five weeks without milk and I'm on edge! (OK maganize, Sept 15, 2009)
************************************************************
(on his role of Arthur) I actually feel quite guilty cause I am sort of the one who gets to have all the fun. Colin sort gets to stand there, hold his hand out and go 'wooo'. I got a sword and get totally play around with it all day
************************************************************
( the first time he met Colin Morgan) When I first met Colin I... I couldn't understand what he was saying. It was purely because I wasn't used to his accent and, and also he's got this very... you wouldn't think when you look at him, this very dark sense of humor you don't know about it.
************************************************************
(about colin morgan) Colin like to talk alot of jibberish on set and off set (cardiff christmas lights switch on 2009)

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be
really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
